Creating a space for all people who seek to build meaning through the Jewish story.

The Temple Micah Storefront Project is moving the Jewish conversation from inside the walls of the synagogue into the public square. You’ll find us at coffee shops, cafés, bars, and farmer’s markets. What animates us is a desire to expand what Jewish life can look like and where Jewish life can take place.

About

Storefront is a new project in Washington DC led by Josh Beraha and Stephanie Crawley, two rabbis who believe that Jewish wisdom has relevance and importance in our modern lives.

This gathering was really a meaningful way to engage our family at a time when we did not yet have a particularly regular or particularly formal Jewish practice.
— Sasha, Adams Morgan Resident

It was exactly what we had been looking for, exactly what we would have designed if we planned it ourselves.
— Sarah, Petworth resident and storefront goer
